For 100 traders at Inalende area of Ibadan North West local government of Oyo South senatorial district, the new year 2018 started on brighter note. The Senator representing them at the National Assembly Abuja, Sen Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi empowered them financially.
While presenting the cash support to the traders, Akanbi, who hails from the community, said the gesture was part of the activities to mark the celebration of the New Year 2018.
The visibly elated lawmaker, who was a member of the House of Representatives, explained that no amount of cash will be considered too much or too small considering their unflinching support for him during the 2015 general elections and afterwards.
He described the traders as reliable and dependable constituents who deserved to be supported and assisted for economic advancement.
Meanwhile, many of the beneficiaries have lauded Akanbi for embarking on many infrastructural development projects in different parts of the state, saying his achievements and performance so far is unprecedented.
