Founder of the pioneer online betting company in Nigeria, NairaBet, Oloye Akin Alabi yesterday submitted his expression and nomination forms at the national secretariat of All Progressives Congress, APC.
AlabI wants to represent the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara in the House of Representatives, Abuja.
He made this known through a post on one of his social media accounts. It reads:
“Today, I submitted my expression and nomination forms at the National Secretariat of our great party, The All Progressives Congress.
“This is in continuation of my bid to serve the people of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in 2019.
“Thank you for your support so far and I’m thanking you in anticipation of your continued support. Thank you.”
Recall that insideOYO.com reported in April that the Nairabet CEO announced his intention to run for office in 2019. He had said he will be contesting for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives.
Akin Alabi contested the 2015 Egbeda-Ona Ara seat of the House of Representatives’ election under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, unsuccessfully.
Alabi, who is one of the youngest Ibadan Mogajis, has assisted many people, especially young entrepreneurs. Only last year, close to 6000 young people got financial assistance to start their own business from the Ibadan-born Manchester United football club supporter.
