Lateef Lawal Akorede, the Chairman of Ibarapa North local government area has donated a patrol van to the Nigeria Police Force, Igangan division.
This was made known in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday by the council boss.
According to the statement, the chairman also donated a motorcycle to Oyo State Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun.
While speaking, Akorede said he will not relent in his efforts towards making Ibarapa North a crime free area and to complement the efforts of the Seyi Makinde-led state government in security.
He said the Ibarapa North local government executive council under his leadership will continue to listen to the yearning of the people and will make sure they get dividends of democracy.
He called for support and prayers of the people for Govenor Seyi Makinde and other candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The statement read: “Today, we donated a patrol van to the Nigeria Police Force, Igangan division to enhance their operations towards securing lives and properties in Ibarapa North local government area.
“We will not relent as we will continue to listen to the yearnings of the people towards making good governance gets to everyone.
“To enable us continue this good work, I want to seek your support for our Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and other PDP candidates in the next general elections.”
