The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III visited the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Sunday in Ibadan, the state capital.
Insideoyo.com gathered that the monarch had a closed-door meeting with the Governor but the details of their meeting have not been made public.
Alaafin was accompanied by Yinka Odumakin, Bashorun of Oyo, Samu of Oyo, Agbakin of Oyo and others.
The visit in coming shortly after the first class monarch received the Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi over crisis in the Ekiti traditional council.
Alaafin had written letter to Fayemi advising him to tread softly with the “Pelu Pelu Kings” after Fayemi issued a query that the Kings should explain why they were absent from state functions without notifying the state government.
In response, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, Afuntade I wrote to Governor Makinde to caution Alaafin not to delve into Ekiti State traditional council matters.
