Former Oyo state governor Abiola Ajimobi and his wife, visited the home of the late publisher of University Press Plc and founder of Kakanfo Inn, Oloye Lekan Are In Ibadan.
On Saturday, January 18th, 2020, the news of elder statesman Chief Olalekan Are was announced.
He died at the age of 86.

In a social media post on Sunday, Senator Ajimobi sent heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones and friends of Dr. Lekan Are.

“We will take consolation in the fact that he lived a life of service to the people. He also left indelible prints in the sands of time.
