The Oyo State government has released the school calendar for the 2021/2022 academic session.
The calendar will serve the private and public primary and secondary schools in the state.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Mrs Amina Bamidele Atere, Permanent Secretary, Oyo State Ministry of Education Science and Technology.
The statement released on Wednesday noted that the 1st term resumption will commence on Monday 20th September, 2021and end on Friday 17th December 2021.
The second term according to her will run between Monday 10th January 2022 and Friday 8th April 2022.
The third term is expected to be run between Monday 2nd May 2022 and Friday 8th, August 2022.
The statement explained that all public holidays are to be observed as directed by both the federal or state governments.
The statement enjoined all public and private schools to adhere strictly to the school calendar.
It, however, warned that any school caught contravening the school calendar will be dealt with.
“1st Term Resumption: Monday 20th September 2021 – Friday 17th December 2021
“2ndTerm Resumption: Monday 10th January 2022 – Friday 8th April, 2022.
“3rd Term Resumption: Monday 2nd May 2022 – Friday 8th, August 2022.
“Full academic programme should commence on the first day of each term. All Public Holidays are to be observed as may be directed by the Federal/State Government.
“All Public and Private Schools are to adhere strictly to the School Calendar.
“Contravention of the school calendar attracts a penalty.”
