Felicitations have been sent to the Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria, FOMWAN Oyo State Chapter as one of its members, Alhaja Rafiah Idowu Sanni emerged as the new National Amirah (President) of the faith-based organization.
Alhaja Rafiah Idowu Sanni was selected as 10th National Amirah at the 36th Annual National Conference of FOMWAN held in Abuja.
The new National President who retired as a Principal from the Oyo State Civil Service in April , 2020 is the wife of the popular televangelist and Chairman Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni.
In her acceptance speech, Alhaja Rafiah Idowu Sanni appreciated Allah for her selection as the new National President of FOMWAN.
She promised to coordinate the affairs of FOMWAN with the fear of Allah while also seeking for the cooperation of all members of the Association in order for her to have a successful tenure.
” To Allah be all glory for this rare privilege. I am thankful for the opportunity given to me by FOMWAN to serve and further contribute my quota to its all round development. This is an amanah (trust) which I will account for hence I am praying to Allah to ease the task for me and make it a hujjah for me and not against me on the day of recompense. I am seeking the cooperation of all members as the task should be seen as a collective one. This will enable us to continue to expand the frontiers and tentacles of our great Association towards a better life for Muslim women and girls. ” Alhaja Rafiah Idowu Sanni said
In her congratulatory message to the new National President, the Oyo State Amirah of FOMWAN, Alhaja (Dr) B.B Oloso who
expressed happiness at the choice of Alhaja Rafiah Idowu Sanni
prayed Allah to bless her with more divine and celestial wisdom to successfully steer the ship of the FOMWAN.
Alhaja Oloso also beseeched Allah to bless the tenure of the new National Amirah with outstanding success and achievements so as to move FOMWAN to greater heights.
