A member of the House of Representatives from Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Hon. Shina Peller, has been decorated by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) as the Pillar of Support for Oyo State Council of the NUJ.
The honorary award was conferred on him by the Oyo State Council of the Union during the grand finale of its Press Week held on Friday, 25th October, 2019 at the NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
While presenting the award to him, the chairman of the Oyo State Council of the NUJ, Comrade Adewunmi Faniran, explained that the award is in recognition and appreciation of Hon. Peller’s relentless philanthropic gesture and deep commitment to the progress of the NUJ, Oyo State Council.
In his response, Hon. Peller appreciated all members of the Oyo State NUJ for finding him worthy of the honour and added that he will continue to appreciate the significant roles journalists play as watchdogs of the society and in the integration and development of Nigeria.
