The Muslim Community of Oyo state has congratulated the newly appointed chairman of the Oyo state Pilgrims’ Welfare Board ( Muslim Wing), Sheikh Al-Imam Hashim Olamide Wahab Atere over his appointment.
The community in a congratulatory letter signed by its Chairman, Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni, and Secretary-General, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade on Thursday, wished Sheikh Atere success in the task.
Insideoyo.com reports that Sheikh Atere will take over from Professor Sayed Malik.
The letter read in part: “We write to congratulate you on your appointment as CHAIRMAN, OYO STATE PILGRIMS’ WELFARE BOARD (MUSLIM WING). The congratulation is to praise Allah, Who found you worthy to be confered with such honour of being appointed, from amongst many other contending candidates.
“More importantly, we wish you success in the onerous task of suprintending over successful hajj operations, year-in, year-out, in Oyo State.
“May Almighty Allah guide your ways and thoughts, as you traverse this challenging terrain of Hajj Operations management.
“We also extend our felicitations to our Baba, Chief Imam of Ibadanland and President, League of Imams and Alfas of Oyo State, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakar Agbotomokekere. May Allah spare Baba’s life for us in sound health and prosperity.
“Once again, we say Al handu lillahi for the appointment, congratulate you and; wish you a very fruitful and successful tenure, bi qudratillah, Aamin.”
