The Oyo State Government has scheduled the 2025 Screening and Placement Exercise into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) for Thursday, July 17, 2025.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, who stated that the exercise will begin promptly at 7:00 a.m. across all designated screening centres in the state.
The Commissioner advised all participating pupils from both public and approved private primary schools to come along with their writing materials for the exercise.
He further directed principals and heads of the various screening centres to ensure adequate preparation and effective monitoring throughout the exercise.
“Officials of the Ministry and members of the Examination Ethics Committee will move around the centres to supervise and ensure that the integrity of the process is upheld,” Hon. Olayiwola stated.
He warned pupils to steer clear of all forms of examination malpractice, and cautioned parents and guardians against loitering around screening centres, noting that only candidates and authorised personnel would be allowed access.
