A delegation of the state government and the police will be conducting an on-the-spot assessment of Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Sunday, Nigerian Tribune reports.
According to the report, the the new Commissioner of Police in the state, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko, would be leading the police delegation to be joined by officers and men of the police tactical team already deployed from Abuja.
The team is expected to meet stakeholders and traditional rulers and assess the extent of the damage if any, a source within the government circle told the medium.
They will also meet with youths in the community and frayed nerves are calmed.
The visit came after the visit of Sunday Igboho and his team to Igangan. Igboho had fingered the Seriki Fulani in the insecurity situation facing the Oyo communities.
