Oyo State Government has expressed displeasure over the pace of some road projects going on in the state, saying that it might consider the revocation option if the contractors do not adjust.

Mr. Dauda said that the present administration is determined to speed up the ongoing road construction in the state to ease the pains of the people and minimize the inconveniences  motorists face while plying the routes of these ongoing projects.

The Commissioner, who expressed displeasure over the slow pace of work, urged the contractors to increase their output in order to meet up with the government deadline, saying that government will not hesitate to revoke any contract in which the contractor is not performing to expectation and executing shoddy jobs.

According to him “We are inspecting some of the ongoing projects in the state. The level of work at the ongoing rehabilitation of the Moniya-Iseyin road is to slow. It is important for the contractors to fast track action on these projects. I am not satisfied with the level of their work and people have even questioned the government why the work is slow or delayed. We want the contractors to speed up their work.”
