The Oyo State Councilor’s Forum has extended its heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde over the passing of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
The Forum described the late Sunday Makinde as a great loss to the state and the nation at large.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Hon Ayodeji Oladepo (ALA) and Public Relations Officer, Hon Kabir Salaudeen, on Friday, the Forum expressed its sadness over the sudden death of Engineer Sunday Makinde, who passed away at the age of 65.
The legislators prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to grant Governor Makinde and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Forum also acknowledged Governor Makinde’s dedication to the state despite his personal loss, and praised his commitment to serving the people of Oyo State.
Engineer Sunday Makinde died on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was aged 65. He is survived by siblings among whom is Governor Seyi Makinde, children and grandchildren
