Oyo-born ailing nurse, Toheerat Abdulsalam, has raised the sum ten million naira needed for her to undergo a kidney transplant in Abuja. Toheerat was able to raised ten million, two hundred and thirty five thousand naira (10,235,000) which officialy brought the #SaveBukky campaign to an end.
Last week, Insideoyo.com received calls from family and friends of Toheerat on her need to raise N10m for a kidney transplant.
As part of Insideoyo.com’s social responsibility, we joined the campaign across social media platforms to raise fund for Toheerat.
A friend and member of the committee of friends who spoke with insideoyo.com thanked everyone who joined the #SaveBukky campaign both financially and all other means.
She said “I want to thank everyone for the support and donations. May you all be blessed with all the graces you so deserved. May the good Lord wave all your silent cries and agonies. Bless and lead you all through the trials and tribulations of life.”
She also urged people to support her in prayers as the transplant will be carried out soon.
“I want to urge you to support her in your prayers. The transplant will be done soon. We pray it turns out to be a successful one. Thank you once again. ”
The kidney transplant will take place at Zenith Medical and Kidney Center, Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Toheerat who finished from Oyo State School of Nursing & Midwifery, Eleyele, Ibadan has been down with Renal Failure which has been threatening her life.
