The Babaloja-General of Oyo State, Asiwaju Yekeen Abass, has congratulated Alhaja Fausat Joke-Saani on her recent swearing-in as Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives by Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde.
In a statement issued in Ibadan and made available to journalists, Asiwaju Abass described the appointment as timely and well-deserved.
“We congratulate Alhaja Fausat Joke-Saani on this appointment. She is a perfect replacement for the immediate past commissioner, Mr. Adeniyi Adebisi. Her wealth of experience in public service makes her the right fit for this ministry,” he said.
The Babaloja-General pledged the full support of Babaloja-in-Council to ensure smooth collaboration with the ministry.
“The Babaloja-in-Council pledges total commitment towards sustaining the existing cordial relationship between the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives and market leaders across the state. We will continue to work closely with the ministry for the growth of our markets,” Abass stated.
He urged the new commissioner to leverage her background in leadership and human relations to deliver more benefits for traders and artisans.
“Alhaja Saani has outstanding track records from her previous roles at the ministries of Women Affairs and Special Duties. We urge her to use her vast experience in leadership and human relations to facilitate more dividends of democracy to traders and artisans in Oyo State,” he added.
Asiwaju Abass wished the commissioner a successful tenure and assured her of the market community’s cooperation.
“We wish Alhaja Fausat Joke-Saani a successful tenure at the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives.The entire market community in Oyo State stands ready to support her vision,” he said.
