Oyo Assembly member from Ogo Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency, Hon Simeon Adegbola Oyeleke has mourned the death of one time Special Adviser to former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, Alhaji Yusuf Dauda popularly known as Baba Eleran.
The former S.A died at his residence in Ibadan in the early hours of Sunday during a brief illness.
He was aged 79.
Hon. Adegbola Oyeleke in his condolence message said Oyo state has again lost a very reliable and reputable political figure.
He expressed his condolences to the family of late Alh Yusuf Dauda (Baba Eleran) and former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, and prayed to God to forgive the deceased and grant him paradise.
Hon Adegbola Oyeleke described the late former S.A Political as a blunt and fearless politician who was vibrant.
” It is sad that death can strike anytime and any day. Alhaji Yusuf Dauda , a politician of repute has answered the call of his creator. Baba Eleran was a grassroot mobilizer and a thorough bred politician.” Hon Adegbola Oyeleke said
According to him, he was a man who understood the nitty-gritty of politics especially in Oyo state.
The Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Lawmaker stated that his death was painful because he died when his vast political experience was still required.
” We are however happy that he left his good mark in the political landscape of Oyo state and he will forever be remembered.”
