The Oyo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended all political activities throughout the state from Wednesday 25th March 2020, for initial two weeks.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, AbdulAzeez Olatunde, said this in a statement made available to InsideOyo.com on Tuesday.
The party added that all offices are to be shut down with all manners of meetings suspended.
“The State Working Committee of our Party, APC, under the chairmanship of Chief Akin Oke, met today, Tuesday 24th March 2020 to review the state of our Country, as regards the issues of COVID-19, the Global Pandemic that is rampaging the whole world and as thus decided to SUSPEND ALL POLITICAL ACTIVITIES at the State, the 33 LG Areas and all the Wards throughout Oyo State, from Wednesday 25th March 2020, for initial two weeks.
“This is subject to review after the expiration of the two weeks, hoping and praying that the COVID-19 Scourge would have been overcome before then to allow for resumption of our regular day-to-day activities.
“Please note that all our Party offices are to be shut down with all manners of meetings suspended.”
