A former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo state, Hon. Bimbo Kolade has called on members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo state to overlook their past misunderstanding and embrace peace to promote unity and progress in the party.
Kolade, who is now a commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission made this plea on Tuesday, while addressing newsmen at the sideline of the Opening Ceremony of the 50th Conference of the National Institute of Town Planners held in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
He also commended the move of the party leaders, both at the state and federal levels towards re-uniting and reconciling the aggrieved members of the party.
“We are bound to fight among ourselves, but settle and reunite again, only a bastard don’t get angry, but to fight and not reconcile is very bad. What has happened has happened.
“I commend the APC party leaders at the state and federal level for their mission to bring us back together. Very soon, expect a united one body APC in Oyo state, ready to take over in 2023″. He said.
He also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the good work he has been doing since he took over the mantle of leadership in the country.
While speaking on urban planning and regeneration in Oyo state, the Oyo Central Senatorial District aspirant of the party in the 2019 General Election said he believed the present administration under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde would embark on the Ibadan City Masterplan initiated by the immediate past government of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
He lauded the World Bank Assisted project, Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project for the works they are doing on physical structures to reduce flooding in the state.
