The crisis in the Oyo state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) seemed to have ended as aggrieved governorship aspirants withdrew suits challenging the choice of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as the party’s governorship candidate.
Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, who was one of the aspirants stated this on Thursday at the inauguration of the party’s campaign team at Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
Recall that insideoyo.com had earlier reported that the 12 governorship aspirants of the party had filed a suit challenging choice of Senator Lanlehin as the party’s governorship candidate.
A development which say some of the aspirants left the party for other political parties.
Arapaja speaking on behalf of the aspirants, he said all the conflicts that arose from the primaries have been amicably resolved and all aspirants that contested for the party’s ticket are ready to work for the victory of the party and Senator Lanlehin at the polls next month.
“All the co-aspirants have discontinued all the cases in court and we have all agreed to support Senator Lanlehin.
“All power belongs to God and He gives whoever He wants.” he said.
He thanked the people of Oyo State for their steadfastness and support and declared that Senator Lanlehin will be victorious at the polls in the governorship election.
Another aspirant, Barrister Lowo Obisesan, corroborated Arapaja’s statement, stressng that they are not detractors.
He described Lanlehin as a good man and urged party supporters to work tirelessly for the party and ensure Senator Lanlehin emerges victorious in the March 2 governorship election in the state.
