LG Poll: There Was No Election – Oyo AAC Rejects Results
">

The African Action Congress (AAC) has called on the people of Oyo State to reject the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the AAC, which it describes as the only modern, ideological, and people-driven party in the state.

In a statement signed by its Oyo State Chairman, Kayode Babayomi, the AAC criticized the PDP-led government of Governor Seyi Makinde for its alleged failure to deliver meaningful progress in the state. The party cited the government’s lack of impact in sectors such as healthcare and agriculture, where it said superficial projects have failed to improve the lives of residents.

The AAC also highlighted the deplorable road conditions, poor healthcare infrastructure, deforestation of Agodi, and land grabbing as evidence of the PDP’s mismanagement. The party urged the people of Oyo State to join it in its quest to reclaim the state and build a brighter future for all.

As thousands of residents defect from the PDP, the AAC called on everyone to remain focused on taking back the state from a party that only serves the interests of a select few.

The party promised to prioritize the needs and interests of the people, describing itself as the only alternative political party that truly cares for the welfare of Oyo State residents.

It reads: “The African Action Congress (AAC) urges the people of Oyo State to reject the dwindling fortunes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the only modern, ideological, and people-driven party in the state.

“As Governor Makinde’s tenure comes to an end in 2027, it’s evident that his administration has failed to deliver meaningful progress, resorting to cosmetic projects and media propaganda.

“The Makinde government’s lack of impact is evident in sectors like healthcare and agriculture, where superficial projects have failed to improve the lives of Oyo State residents. The deforestation of Agodi, grabbing of lands ,deplorable road conditions, and poor healthcare infrastructure are testaments to the PDP’s mismanagement.

“We call on the people of Oyo State to join the AAC, the only alternative political party that prioritizes their needs and interests. As thousands defect from the PDP, we urge everyone to remain focused on taking back our state from a party that only serves the interests of a select few.

“It’s time to abandon the sinking ship of PDP and embrace the people-centric governance of the AAC. Let us work together to reclaim Oyo State and build a brighter future for all.”
