The Director General of the Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OYMASED), Dr. Morohunkola Thomas, says the agency’s mission is to mobilize citizens towards socio-economic development in the state.
Speaking on Honor FM live program, Ajoro, Dr. Thomas emphasized the agency’s focus on orientating citizens towards socially responsible behaviours and promoting state development.
The DG stated further that part of the plan of the agency is to establish integrity clubs in secondary schools, teaching essential life skills such as hard work, honesty, and respect for elders.
He also stressed the importance of these values in driving socio-economic growth.
Dr. Thomas encouraged citizens to engage in small-scale farming to reduce food costs and promote self-sufficiency.
He emphasized that with the launch of OYMASED, the state is poised to accelerate its multidimensional policies and programs by collaborating with all relevant stakeholders with a view to making a huge impact on socio-economic development, paving the way for a brighter future.
