The Onisanbo of Ogbooro, Engineer Kazeem Adio Adegboye has commended the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde over the handing over of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso by the Nigerian University Commission (NUC).
Oba Adegboye, while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday urged the Governor to consider the Ogbooro town in the move to make LAUTECH a multi-campus institution.
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate of LAUTECH said that Ogbooro, a town in Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Saki East Local Government in the Oke Ogun is fertile and can accommodate the Faculty of Agriculture of the institution.
He said that the town has been peaceful adding that it has what it’s required in siting a higher institution of learning.
Recall that Insideoyo.com had earlier reported that Governor Seyi Makinde, on Monday, disclosed that Ladoke Akintola University Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) will be made a muliti-campus institution.
The governor made the disclosure while addressing student of the institution who were in his office on a “Thank You” visit in appreciation of the transfer of the ownership of LAUTECH to Oyo.
