It was an atmosphere of excitements mixed with tears of Joy as Renowned Ogbomoso Born Philanthropist and 2023 PDP House of Representative Candidate for Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Oladokun Onireti awards Lifetime Scholarship to Miss Helen Omobolanle Alabi who scored 328 in 2023 JAMB Exam.
Alabi who was offered provisional Admission to study Medicine and Surgery at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso according to investigation, could not afford the exorbitant school fees and when Onireti heard this he felt so emotional and decided to take up the fees.
The two-fold education support program which was held with Ogbomoso Progressive Elite Club (OPEC) at Ogbomoso High School today also witnessed the presentation of Free JAMB Forms to 50 deserving beneficiaries and Scholarships worth #50,000 each to Oladele Shinaayomi Emmanuel, Ojo Gloria Oluwadamilola, Adegboola Matthew Oluwafemi, Ayorinde Victoria Toluwase, Olatunji Ayanfe Mercy, Oni Victoria Oluwaferanmi and Ajala Roseline Remilekun who equally performed excellently well in 2023 JAMB Exams.
Onireti who was ably represented at the presentation ceremony by Engr. Amusan Damilare in his remark charged the beneficiaries to see the gesture as a rare opportunity which should not be taken for granted. He equally admonished them to desist from any social vices that could distract them from performing excellently well in their academics.
Alabi while receiving the Cheque of #500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) from Onireti for her First Year School fees expressed her gratitude for the opportunity provided by the Hon Olufemi Oladokun Onireti Scholarship Scheme and thank the Ogbomoso Progressive Elite Club for the great platform provided.
The President of Ogbomoso Progressive Elite Club (OPEC) Mr. Hezekiah Farayoola Olaniran in his remark commended Onireti for his great gesture and for fulfilling his financial commitment towards the educational advancement in Ogbomoso which is geared towards academic reawakened.
He congratulated all the beneficiaries and charges them to reciprocate the gesture by focusing on their academic goals.
