All is now set for the commemoration of a year anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul l Azeez Olatunji Ayoola Gbadegunte 1,Ogelende 4th, Olokaka of Okaka land on throne as paramount ruler and crowned beaded monarch in Oyo State.
A release issued by the duo Okaka Community Chairman Mr Ogundele Rashid Adelani and Chairman Anniversary Planning Committee, Maye of Okaka land Chief Ibrahim Taiwo Odubiyi said series of interesting programmes have been lined up for the commencement of the remarkable ceremony.
The colourful ceremony will kick start on Thursday with visitation to the palace and significant places in Okaka land by individuals and group for royal blessings. On Friday by 10am there will be summit on the development of Okaka land tagged “okaka be all eyes :lets become stronger in our land by Guest speaker Mr Sunday Ogundipe from Ibadan.
Also on Friday, there will be a novelty football match between Ogelende FC and Sharp Shooters FC of Owotoro.
The grand finale of the epoch event commences on Saturday the 31st of August 2019 at Baptist Basic Primary School Okaka by 10am under the auspices of His Imperial Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi the third and traditional rulers in Oke Ogun area and beyond.
The colourful event according to the release will have in attendance prominent sons and daughters of Okaka land including Chief GT Awakan the Asiwaju of Okakaland, Rear admirer Adedeji, Chief Iteade Odeyemi, Mr Debo Adesina of guardian newspaper, Mrs Josephine Moyosore Ajani, Alhaja Moriliat Busari nee Ajibike, Chief Kola Sobaloju, Hon Kola Olabiyi, Alhaji Hamed Aranse, Barr Ademola Adedeji, Barr Tunde Abioje Deacon SO Idowu, among others.
On Sunday, Ayan Agalu and Adeboro troop will showcase their talents with cultural display at Okaka palace in the evening.
The release charged all and sundry to be part of the ceremony and be punctual.
