Ocheap.ng, a subsidiary of Betaplatform Limited, has opened a mouthwatering online grocery store for customers in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
Ocheap is a social commerce platform for purchasing groceries and daily essentials at the cheapest rate online in Ibadan.
According to a statement by Betaplatform Limited, the online supermarket enables people to save on grocery shopping by giving them access to buy at a wholesale price, whether they are buying a few pieces or in bulk.
Operating in the heart of Ibadan, Ocheap.ng is the cheapest online supermarket.
The platform is dedicated to providing Ibadan residents with the best of everyday household items, with an emphasis on cheap prices, high quality, and great customer service.
It was founded in 2022 to help customers save costs on their groceries purchase by connecting them to wholesalers, distributors and local manufacturers.
“We noticed that most wholesalers would want you to buy in dozen or cartoons before you can buy at wholesale price, but with Ocheap you can buy 1 item of a particular food item and still get it at wholesale price,” the company said.
“Our vision is to establish partnerships with major Manufacturers of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and be a platform whereby the manufacturers can reach their customers directly without going through any middleman.
“The reason why we started Ocheap is to reduce the impact of the rising cost of foodstuff and everything in general because as we all know that everything is expensive due to the harsh economic conditions we find ourselves and it is becoming more difficult for people to provide food for themselves and their families so people can take advantage of a platform like Ocheap to get their groceries at a very cheap price.”
The statement added that Ocheap has aspirations to expand to other states within Nigeria in the years to come.
The company said it also carried out community development projects as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Last month, it visited Tabitha Orphanage and donated food items.
