The Secretary of the APC Reconciliation Committee set up by late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi and a former Commissioner for Information in Oyo State, Prince Gbade Lana has stated that people are moving enmasse to the All Progressives Congress in the Pace Setter State ahead of 2023 because of the non-performance of Governor Seyi Makinde in Office.

Fielding questions from Aanuoluwapo Omorinde on BOTTOM LINE, a weekly Political programme on IBR 92.5fm Ibadan mornitored by our Correspondent, he said when the time comes, the incumbent government which is a product of the People’s Democratic Party will pay darely for running governnent shabily.

In his words ” let prosperity judge who is working. Look, you cannot compare an Elephant to an ant now. How can you compare the performance of Senator Abiola Ajimobi to what is happening in Oyo State presently?. I am here to let you know that APC is coming back as a strong party to take over from the ineptitude government that we have in Oyo State at the moment”.

“If people are now coming back to the APC, it’s because they have seen it as the only viable alternative to checkmate what the PDP is doing in Oyo State. So, if everybody now comes in to the APC, their contribution will build the party.

When asked if he is not worried about the popularity of Governor Seyi Makinde, the former Local Government Chairman said “you should understand that Politicians don’t just talk anyhow. Yeah! There are Sycophants in all the tparties, there are Sycophants to the Leaders in different parties but it is what you do that people see”.

Justifying his claim against the Seyi Makinde led government he said, “coming from my house now, it took me twenty five minutes from Akobo-Ojurin to get to this place when it should ordinarily not take me five minutes. The road that was awarded by former Governor Abiola Ajimobi and was about fifty percent completed before the contract was revoked. What we have in Akobo-Ojurin, honestly, there is a side there that is unpassable. It is now face me, I face you. There are about six portions of that road that are in total State of disrepair. People who live in that area, you don’t need to ask them what they want now? They know what they want. They want good road. It is not a matter of mouth or propaganda no

It’s about achievement, achievement. In one and a half years that PDP has been in Oyo State, please, please don’t compare it with one and a half years when Senator Ajimobi took over as Governor of Oyo State no! Ajimobi has a focus! He a has a blue print. These people don’t have a blue print at all. All they are doing is to consolidate on what Ajimobi has done but let them come up with fresh ideas that will move Oyo State people forward. Show me one project they have done that cannot be tied to what Ajimobi did before. Pls quote me and let them come out and controvert what I am saying”.

Speaking further, Prince Lana said the APC in Oyo State is back strong and that it remains a party to bear come 2023.

“Our party is getting stronger and stronger. Whatever was stolen from us, by the special grace of God, we shall reclaim out mandate come 2023”.

“It is not yet time. I will come back when it is time to deal with this government. To let the whole world know what is happening because, the morning shows the day”.
