The local government coordinators for Seyi Makinde’s re-election bid have congratulated His Excellency, on his award of excellence as the best governor of the year 2023 from one of the leading national newspapers in Nigeria, describing the award as a well-deserved one.
Makinde received the award for massive infrastructure development projects and good governance.
He was accompanied to the award venue by former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko, and other associates while the award was presented to him by former Central Bank Deputy Governor, Professor Kingsley Moghalu.
In a statement issued and signed by the chairman of the group, Hon. Hakeem Adedibu, G-33 noted that Governor Seyi Makinde is one of the view elective leaders who serve his people with a fear of God.
G-33 commended the management of LEADERSHIP for the recognition, adding that the award would ginger Governor Makinde to do more for the people of Oyo state.
The statement, which was forwarded to newsmen via mobile said the award given to Makinde was a testament to his impressive leadership attributes dedication, and firm commitment to delivering good governance to the people of Oyo State.
G-33 wrote: “We congratulate our leader, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, on his recognition as the Governor of the Year 2023 by the management of the Leadership Newspaper.
“The award is inarguably well-deserved, governor Makinde’s unrelenting effort for good governance continues to speak for him in and outside the state. The people of Oyo state rewarded his good governance in 2023 with massive votes and now a widely read newspaper crowned it all by recognizing him as best governor.
“We are indeed honored to pitch our tent with an incredible leader, who always creates a success story for others to emulate.” the G-33 stated.
The group also acknowledged Governor Seyi Makinde’s kindness and consideration for the appointment of some of its members, thereafter urged him not to rescind his decision to incorporate others in his Omititun 2:0 project.
