Makinde Is The Answer Of Good Governance, Deserves Second Term -Akindeji Elijah
Honourable Akindeji Ibukun Elijah (IBK), Zenith Labour Party’s Candidate for Ibadan South East State Constituency in the 2019 General Elections, has said that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state is the answer of good governance.
Akindeji Elijah in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Ibadan said the Governor deserves a second term.
He added that the Governor has spread development to the nook and crannies of the state and has judiciously use available resources in the state.
His words: “As 2023 general election is coming soon, many politicians and partisans have gone back to the table to restrategies on either how election would be, permutations and winning strategies, some have even hijacked the party amidst people’s demand for fair play in some parties.
“It is not new that Engr Seyi Makinde remains the people choice, he has made impossibilities possible in Oyo State through, strategic planning, unity of purpose, unity of direction and collective responsibilities.
“Without iota of sentiment, Seyi Makinde has judiciously utilized the meagre available recourses in Oyo State to achieve greater heights among his peers, and this makes Oyo State the Pace setter.
“Let’s look at different sectors, education has not remained the same with the Seyi Makinde free and standard education policy. As at today, there is no out of school children in Oyo State because of Seyi Makinde free education policy.
“The light up Oyo State, is the best of it’s kind, as Oyo State Street light has covers more than 85% of Oyo State.
“Oyo State Economy has never blown like this since it’s creation, if Engr Seyi Makinde continue this Administration for another term, I believe Oyo State will be competing with Lagos interms of economy.
“Seyi Makinde has extended the infrastructural development to all the nooks and crannies of Oyo State, some abandoned villages are now enjoying dividend of democracy, linking roads within Oyo State have been fix beyond expectations.”
He also said that with the projects and dividends of democracy, the Governor cannot be defeated in the forthcoming elections.
His words: “How best can I express Engr Seyi Makinde? He is a visionary leader, imagine many agricultural development project, the Governor has embarked on, this is just one of the economy booster catalysts he has put in place.
“Even the national problem of unemployment in Oyo State has reduced drastically with different recruitment into various sectors, in just few years, Seyi Makinde has recruited into Ministry of Education, Teaching Service Commission, State Agricultural development agency, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of health, Road Transport Management Agency to mention a few, which could not be traced to other previous administrations
“However, using trend analysis, we would all agree with me that Engr Seyi Makinde cannot be defeated in the forthcoming election, thus, whoever wants to follow the moving train should follow Seyi Makinde re-election bid
“I, Hon. Akindeji Ibukun Elijah (IBK) do support and endorse Engr seyi Makinde for Second term ambition.”
