The Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, commissioned the renovated and equipped Observatory, Isolation and Treatment Center in Saki.
The commissioning event which took place at the premises of the newly commissioned infectious disease Center in Saki West local government area of Oyo State, had in attendance the state deputy governor, engineer Rauf Olaniyan, other top government officials, health practitioners, monarchs, Saki residents, amongst other stakeholders concerned.
While commissioning the renovated and equipped Observatory, Isolation and Treatment Center, governor Makinde said the renovation of the center and the equipment fixed in it cost about N750 Million.
The governor, however, changed the initial name of the Observatory, Isolation and Treatment Center to Saki Specialist Hospital.
He said: “This is what we mean when we say that healthcare is one of the four pillars of our Roadmap to Accelerated Development in Oyo State 2019-2023.
“There is a revolution in health care delivery system in Oyo state. Every ward in Oyo State will have a grade 3 primary health care facility and we will complete the 351 of them before the end of this administration in 2023.”
