The chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oorelope Local Government, Hon. Jacob Ogundiran, has declared that he and his team will do everything to bring about a positive turnaround in the local government once they are elected into office.
Ogundiran stated this on Tuesday, during the Ward Visitation Tour to Wards 8 & 9, Modeke, Igboho, embarked upon by the PDP Campaign Council under the leadership of Hon. Ismail Aderemi.
The PDP flagbearer charged residents of the two Wards and by extension residents of the local government to vote enmasse for the PDP, noting that the community will experience a breath of fresh air under his leadership.
A statement by the Council’s Director of Media and Publicity and Special Assistant (Print Media) to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, Moses Alao, indicated that the Campaign Council comprising key leaders of the party and teeming members concluded the Ward Visitation Tour to the 10 Wards of the Council on Tuesday.
Speaking shortly after the tour, Ogundiran said his government will toe the path of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde in terms of delivering people-centred projects and implementing policies that will bring about sustainable development in Oorelope Local Government.
Notable leaders of the party, including the Oyo North PDP Senatorial Chairman, Hon Yinusa Yusuff Adekunle; former Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Lukman Balogun; Mr Muritala Adeladan; Oorelope LG PDP chairman, Alhaji Azeez Adeoti and the Campaign DG, Hon. Aderemi, among others, were in attendance.
The party chairman, while addressing hundreds of party faithful at Wards 8 & 9, equally charged them to mobilise massively for the party in the April 27 poll, adding that the PDP is the only means to achieving the dreams of a better Oorelope Local Government.
He took the opportunity to introduce the chairmanship candidate and his running mate, Hon. Ogundiran and Hon. Wasiu Babatunde as well as the councillorship candidates for the two Wards to party loyalists.
