Teslim Folarin, Setenator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District on Wednesday led the APC National Assembly caucus to brief the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on security situation and local government crisis in the state, insideoyo.com reports.
Their visit came a week after Governor Seyi Makinde also paid the Police chief a visit in Abuja. Governor Makinde had said he was there to brief the police on the happenings in the state including Amotekun.
In a series of tweets, Senator Folarin said the APC caucus at the national assembly were not pleased with the breakdown of law and order in Oyo state
“Earlier today, I led the APC National Assembly caucus to brief the Inspector General of Police on situation in Oyo. We are not pleased with the breakdown of law and order in our dear state. We want peace restored to Oyo state.

“The Inspector General of Police has promised us they will double their efforts in ensuring peace reigns in Oyo state again. Without peace, there can’t be progress. We call on all our citizens to embrace peace. “
However, both parties, the government and sacked chairmen are working on ways to settle out court and resolve issues amicably, matters arising from the Oyo state High Court yesterday.
The Oyo APC National Assembly cacus included Akeem Adeyemi popularly known as Skimeh, Dokun Odebunmi popularly known as Bunvic, Olumide Ojerinde and Akin Sadipe.
