The Founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc. Hassan Giwa has congratulated Christian faithful all over Oyo State, Lagelu Local Government in particular on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
The foremost architect called on all Christians across the state to use the occasion of Easter to pray for God’s mercy and forgiveness over our country, Nigeria especially at this trying time of COVID-19 that is ravaging the world.
Arc. Giwa, in his message of hope to the Christians and the entire people of Oyo State, expressed that as they are celebrating Easter, they should remember to follow and observe the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control’s (NCDC) directives and guidelines as regard COVID-19.
He enjoined them to be obedient and respect the will of those in the position of authority as contained in the teachings and doctrines of Jesus Christ, whose resurrection is celebrating.
Giwa charged them to inculcate the good characters, show love to one another and ensure peaceful coexistence in order to jointly heal the land.
His words, “Let us display good characters, let us love ourselves and let us promote peaceful coexistence among ourselves. This will enable us to jointly win the battle and heal our land against coronavirus disease in our dear state and country as a whole. Easter season avails us opportunity to seek the face of God and ask for mercy and forgiveness at this trying time.
“We must come together and pray to God to save us, as we maintain our social distancing, keep proper hygiene and follow all other directives and guidelines established by the authority to ensure that we send the deadly virus out of our land,” Arc. Giwa said.
