The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in Oyo state, Sen. Solagbade Olufemi Lanlehin has accused the gubernatorial candidates of both APC and PDP of making subtle and treacherous moves to buy the permanent voters cards (PVC) from electorate, in a prelude to perpetrating electoral fraud.

This was contained in a press statement by the Director of Public Communication, News Media and Tertiary Institutions
For Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin/Alaran Campaign Organization (SOLANCO), Engr Akeem Olatunji sent to insideoyo.com.

The campaign train of Oyo State ADC gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Solagbade Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), was in Oyo township Stadium yesterday for the Oyo Zonal rally which comprises Afjio, Oyo East, Oyo West and Atiba local government areas.

Lanlehin however urged the electorates to be gallant and prevent their fraudulent plans, so as not to mortgage their future because the difference between APC and PDP can be said to be same as the difference between six and half a dozen, which is equal and the same.

He therefore adviced INEC to openly and clearly show its independence, walk the talk and not allow its integrity to be soiled by unscrupulous, disreputable and desperate politicians who have lost relevance, but trying to perpetrate themselves in power and again take vengeance on the decisive electorate who have resolutely rejected them.

Lanlehin assured the jubilant crowd of adequate security and protection of their votes since the African Democratic Party (ADC) is the preferred choice of the Oyo State masses and electorates.

At the rally, he promised to decisively address the poor state of health care in Oyo State. He told the overwhelming crowd that it was surprising that the four local governments that constitutes Oyo federal constituency have only two medical Doctors which confirm the general notion that Oyo State Hospitals are not only understaffed but the people of Oyo region have been marginalized and neglected.

Lanlehin further stated that he will declare state of emergency in Oyo State Health sector so as to tackle the various impediments to qualitative health care deliver in the state.

Also speaking at the rally was the Director General of the Senator Lanlehin/Alaran Campaign Organization (SOLANCO), Architect Bashiru Lawal, restated the commitments of Sen. Lanlehin to improve the standard of education in Oyo State and stated that Sen. Lanlehin’s administration beginning from May 29, 2019, by the special grace of God, will increase subventions to the tertiary institutions in the state as education remains a social contract between the governed and the government.

Hence, the need to alleviate the burden on the parents and the stress on the students.

The Chairman of ADC in Oyo State, Dr. Hamed Ayinla, in his speech called on the party faithfuls, well-wishers and supporters, to be united and also to extol the good virtues of Sen. Lanlehin, his deputy, Alh. Saheed Alaran, the incumbent and the senatorial candidate of Oyo Central, Sen Monsurat Sunmonu (SMS) and other ADC candidates for their doggedness and commitments to the ideas and principles of the party.

The Oyo rally had in attendance many political bigwigs and candidates of ADC for the forthcoming 2019 elections among whom are the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, Sen. Gbenga Babalola, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, Hon. Moruf Akinwande, Prince Ogundipe, Pa Lanihun, Hon. Nureni Adisa, the Oyo State ADC Chairman, Dr. Hamed Ayinla, State Secretary, Alh.
