The national body of the Kishi Students’ Association (KISA) has honoured the Iba of Kishi land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mashhod Oyekola Lawal Aweda Arowoduye II during its 2019 KISA WEEK.
The occasion which was held at the Kishi Township Hall, Agede on the 31st of December, also featured other activities like a public lecture, vocational training for secondary school students, football competition.
While receiving the honor, the Iba of Kishi, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mashood Oyekola expressed his utmost appreciation to the association and pledged his readiness to support the apex students body in achieving its set goals.
Chairman of the Occasion, Pharm. Bioku Rahman Jimoh while giving his address, expressed his gladness in seeing the students coming together and working towards the development of Kishi. He however, promised to support the Association when necessary.
National President of the Association, Com. Saheed Ajedokun Ayinla in his welcome address appreciated everyone for the support and promised on behalf of other members of the national executive to come up with super amazing programs in the year 2020.
The Guest Lecturer at the Public lecture, Barr A.A. Owoade (Ph.d), from the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin delivered an educative and informative lecture on the effect of unity among Kishi Students to the community.
The glorious event had the town hall filled to the brim as the program was witnessed by imminent personalities like the Kishi traditional Chiefs and the Kishi Progressive Union National chairman, Chief Bayo Adesope.
Also present at the occasion were the caretaker Chairman of Irepo Local Government, Hon Abdul-Lateef Adediran Santana, Air Commodore Kayode Adediji,(Rtr), Professor Asif Ahmed Opeloyeru from University of Ibadan (Rtr), Hon. Afees Adelowo Onaara, the Proprietor Chaste International school, Prince, Abdul-Lateef Mouammada FRSC (Rtr), Ass.Prof Waheed Abdul and other dignitaries.
