The Federal lawmaker, representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, under the platform of All Progressive Congress, Abiodun Awoleye, has confirmed his defection to the African Democratic Congress.
Awoleye who attended the APC gubernatorial aspirants meeting at the government house with governor Abiola Ajimobi said this in an interview at Space FM, one radio station in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital .
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier reported that Awoleye debunked ongoing rumours that he has defected to the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC)
Reports say his defection is because of his slim chance to get the party ticket in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Awoleye was in the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2011 on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, (ANPP) is completing his second term in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
