Presidential candidate of Zenith Labour Party, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko on Tuesday, urged Nigerians to support his aspiration, adding that he has programs for the youth, women and unemployed with a promise that when elected, Nigerians will be equipped with the necessary skills and tools that will move the country forward.
Mimiko stated this while speaking at a program entitled “Conversation with Olusegun Mimiko” attended by thousands of youths, women, political parties’, held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
At the event were dignitaries among whom were: Secretary General, Yoruba Council of Elders, Dr. Kunle Olajide, National Action Council (NAC), Presidential candidate, Dr. Olapade Agoro, National Chairman of National Conscience Party (NCP), Mr. Yinusa Tanko and Dr. Olufemi Mimiko, amomg others.
The former governor urged Nigerians to support his aspiration, adding that he has programs for the youth, women and unemployed with a promise that when elected, Nigerians will be equipped with the necessary skills and tools that will move the country forward.
He said, “I have a vision for Nigerian youth, youth will be equipped with the skills needed to move Nigeria forward. We have the resources, there is no doubt about that. The greatest resources is the human resources, we have it. We have people that can move this country forward. And I want to say it again that I will put together the mast that will move this country forward.
“I see a Nigeria where my children and other children will stand shoulder to shoulder with any person in the world”.
Mimiko added that “I have been a Commissioner, Secretary to the state government, Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria and Governor of my state for eight years. We can’t give up in this country and that is why today I am presenting my credentials to you, that is why I am presenting my vision for you today for this country.
“I as President of Nigeria will fight corruption through ICT, the BVN is enough to fight corruption. If you can trace the movement of money, you are already fighting corruption”
