The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Ayete, Honourable Lateef Adebare Akorede has been honored with the Nigerian Local Government Excellence Award (LOGEXA) for 2024.
The award was presented at a national workshop on Accelerated Grassroots Development for Local Government Administrators in Nigeria, held in Abuja.
“I am humbled to receive this prestigious award, and I dedicate it to my team and the good people of Ibarapa North Local Government Area.
“This recognition is a testament to our tireless efforts and dedication to driving meaningful change and progress in our community.” said the Chairman.
The two-day workshop brought together local government administrators from across the country to share knowledge, collaborate, and plan strategies for grassroots development.
The Chairman’s award recognition was based on his outstanding performance over the past few years in driving meaningful change and progress in his local government area.
“This award serves as a motivation to continue striving for excellence in public service and to push the boundaries of what is possible in grassroots development,” the Chairman added.
He also thanked and commended the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to serve.
“I want to commend and thank my boss, Governor Seyi Makinde, for the opportunity to serve the good people of Ibarapa North Local Government Area.” He added.
The Chairman also expressed his gratitude to the workshop organizers and the LOGEXA award committee for the recognition. “I am proud to be part of a community that values innovation, collaboration, and impactful governance,” he said.
