Hon. Lateef Akorede, the chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, attended the coronation and presentation of staff of office to His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Oyekanmi Titiloye (Abioje 1), the Elempe of Tapa land.
The ceremony, which took place in the presence of dignitaries and community leaders, marked a significant milestone in the history of Tapa land.
The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Bayo Lawal presented the staff of office to Oba Titiloye, symbolizing his formal recognition as the traditional ruler of the land.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Akorede praised Oba Titiloye’s wisdom and leadership, expressing confidence that his reign would bring prosperity and unity to the community.
He also commended Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for his efforts in promoting cultural heritage and traditional institutions in Oyo State.
Hon. Akorede urged the people of Ibarapa North to rally behind their new monarch, saying, “Let us join hands to take our community to a greater pedestal. We must work together to improve our socio-economic status and make our community a beacon of progress.”
