Former governor of Oyo state and gubernatorial candidate, Adebayo Alao-Akala has insisted that he is “ready to govern the state with the fear of God”.
The immediate past governor said there is “no going back” in his decision to contest the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state while dispelling the rumour of his withdrawal from the race.
He stated this while addressing journalists in Ibadan, the state capital over the weekend.
Alao-Akala while speaking on the just released time-table for the conduct of primaries into the various elective positions in country in the APC, said “the release of the time table was timely and well taken as it will no doubt put a stop to the series of insinuations bothering on his desire to run as governor of the state in the 2019 general election”
Alao-Akala while speaking further attributed the current peace and tranquility in and across the country to the, “commendable leadership trait of President Muhammadu Buhari whose administration has been able to put under check the series of skirmishes that took place around the country in times past”.
The former governor while commenting on the partial demolition of the Music House owned by Mr. Yinka Ayefele, lauded the fatherly role of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi who led other traditional rulers in the state to appeal to the governor on behalf of the management of Music House to temper justice with mercy.
