Member House of Representatives, Akin Alabi, (APC) representing Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency in Oyo State has applauded Engr Seyi Makinde for promising to support Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), to qualify for the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) next season.
Oloye Alabi, the founder of NairaBET, stated this on Wednesday in a Twitter post.
He said he was delighted to see Governor Makinde promising to support the Club side after he has spent over N100 million on the club in cash support, sponsorship and logistics.
“ I was getting tired as it was drilling a hole in my pocket .”
“I am delighted Govenror Makinde has promised to support 3SC. After spending over N100m on the club in cash support, sponsorship and logistics, I was getting tired as it was drilling a hole in my pocket.
“I have not been able to send them any money this year.”
On Wednesday, after meeting with the club’s management and the team’s Supporters Club, Gov. Seyi Makinde promised to transform the state-owned football club, the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), to become the best club in the country.
He said his government will do the needful to pick the club up from the lower level it is now and take it to the high level.
“The club will be properly funded, the players will be motivated and we will give the required resources and attention to the club,’’ he said.
