In a bid to alleviate the suffering of the downtrodden, the George Aid Foundation, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ibadan, Jericho Metro, has continued its monthly food bank distribution in Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
The initiative, which targets hundreds of residents, aims to provide relief from hunger and malnutrition.
The distribution, held at the Ibadan House, Oke Aremo, was attended by the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole.
He commended the George Aid Foundation for its foresight in addressing the pressing issues of hunger and skyrocketing food prices in the largest city in West Africa.
Barrister Ajewole also announced that the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes will honor the founder of the George Aid Foundation for his efforts in alleviating the suffering of the masses.
He called on well-meaning individuals, sons, and daughters of the ancient city, both at home and in the diaspora, to remember their roots and contribute to the development of their community.
The food packages, consisting of rice, beans, cassava flakes, and condiments, were warmly received by the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for the gesture.
