Dr Lukman Adisa Salami also known as Adamawa has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Saki-West, Saki-East and Atisbo Federal Constituency.
Adamawa defeated the two other aspirants, Hon. Najeemdeen Omirinde and Barrister Sharafadeen Onijo at the rescheduled primary elections that was held at Sakí-West Local Government Council Secretariat, Saki on Monday.
The returning officer, Dr Gbenga Ojedokun announced that Dr Lukman Adisa Adamawa polled 98 total votes from Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo while Alh. Najeemden Omirinde and Hon. Sharafadeen Onijo polled zero votes respectively.
It was gathered that 98 delegates across the Saki-West, Saki-East and Atisbo local governments participated, accredited and voted in the exercise.
Also, the exercise had in attendance representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), Security architecture, comprising, Oyo State Operation Burst, Nigeria Police, Amotekun Corps, Civil Defence.
Present at the venue were the three Local Government chairpersons; Hon. (Engr) Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde of Saki-West LG, Hon. (Mrs) Mosumade Rahmat Adediran of Saki-East LG, Hon Fasasi Adeagbo of Atisbo LG Chairman, the Commissioner for Training and Investment, Hon. (Alh.) Siju Lawal, Member of Oyo State House of Assembly Saki-West Constituency, Hon Okedoyin Femi Julius, Member, Oyo State House of Assembly Saki-East/Atisbo Constituency, Hon. Saminu Gbadamosi.
Others were Saki-West PDP Party Chairman, Hon (Alh.) Wasiu Ayesoro, Saki-East PDP Party Chairman, Mr Balogun Mudathir, Atisbo PDP Party Chairman, Alh Fatai Ojebisi and delegates from the three Local Government.
