The runner up of the just conducted Ibadan North Federal Constituency primaries of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade has congratulated the winner of the election, Hon. Lanre Sarumi.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, on Wednesday, the young and energetic entrepreneur also assured the winner of his support.
The statement read: “I Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade Congratulate you, Hon. Lanre Sarumi for this well deserve victory, It was truly a good fight, in every contest there must be a winner, you’ve Emerge at the Primaries, it’s now time for us to work together towards your victory at the polls for our great party. For I believe that together we can move mountains.
“I want to use the opportunity to appreciate our amiable leader and governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde for giving us an enabling environment to showcase ourselves in a free, fair and credible process.
“I also want to use this opportunity to thank my party The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) the chairman, all excos, Leaders, Stakeholders for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to showcase my strength and also build on my political network, this memories will remain indelible to me.
“It was truly a good fight, now that a winner has emerge, i call on all aspirants to accept this as the will of God and the will of the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Let’s work with the winner to actualize the main goal, A PDP member representing our federal Constituency will ensure that our Constituents get the best representation.
“Ibadan North Federal Constituency has been ruled by opposition for close to twelve years now, as a Party we need to shelt our sword and work together, lessons learnt in the last general elections should shape our minds towards repeating same feet, I call on all Aspirants to understand that in this case there was no loser, because a member of our party won, as a Party man i urge everyone of us to rally support for the winner of the primary, Hon Lanre Sarumi.
