A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao), has condoled with the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Fatai Buhari over the death of his mother, Alhaja Sarat Abeje Buhari.
Alhaja Buhari died on Monday night at the age of 103 years and was buried on Tuesday according to Islamic rites.
Alao in his condolences message, said though Mama lived to a ripe old age, the death coming at this time was unexpected as she was a mother whose love and impact on her children and those who came in contact with her would continue to be felt.
According to him, while the death of a mother would always be painful, the solace is that Alhaja had the grace of Almighty Allah to enrich humanity by giving birth to great individuals such as Senator Fatai and the other children she left behind.
He enjoined Senator Buhari and the entire members of the family to take heart as Allah giveth and taketh at His own will, noting that her good deeds would always be remembered.
Alao said, ‘I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to my dear brother, Senator Fatai Buhari, on the death of our dear Mama, Alhaja Sarat Abeje Buhari.
“It is a fact that the death of a mother is such a great loss that cannot be filled by other people, but I want to enjoin you and the other siblings to take joy in her good deeds which are indelible in the hearts of those who know her and which you will continue to remember.”
He then prayed that Almighty Allah forgive Mama’s shortcomings and grant her soul Al-Jannat Firdaus and Senator Buhari and his other siblings fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
