A sociopolitical group in Oke Ogun, Atisbo4Makinde Presidency, has felicitated a former Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly and current Special Adviser on Legislative Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Adejumobi Samuel, popularly known as Agbarapo, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement issued on Thursday by its Coordinator, Abdraheem Adekunle, the group described Adejumobi as a strong link between governance and grassroots development, noting that his political influence has translated into economic opportunities for residents of Atisbo Local Government Area and the wider Oke Ogun zone.
Adekunle said the governor’s aide remained an industrious son of Oke Ogun whose years in Oyo State’s political space had brought visible contributions to the socio-economic development of Atisbo.
The group, which said its core mandate is to mobilise support for the realisation of Governor Makinde’s 2027 presidential ambition, noted that Adejumobi’s impact extends beyond politics into private enterprise.
It pointed to his investments in oil and gas as well as hospitality businesses, which it described as major sources of employment for youths and residents in the area.
According to the statement, the businesses have created both direct and indirect jobs for skilled and unskilled workers, helping to reduce unemployment and improve livelihoods across the local economy.
“At a time when many leaders speak only in promises, Hon. Adejumobi has consistently matched words with action,” the group said.
“Through his investments and interventions, families in Atisbo and across other parts of Oke Ogun have found dignity in work and hope in opportunity.”
Beyond private sector contributions, the group also credited Adejumobi with facilitating employment opportunities for qualified indigenes of Atisbo within the Oyo State civil service.
It added that his experience in legislative processes and access to the machinery of government had helped ensure fair representation for the area in state employment, positioning him as a bridge between the executive and legislative arms.
The group described his interventions as significant for a region it said had historically felt marginalised from the centre of power, adding that such efforts had helped restore confidence in governance among young people in Oke Ogun.
It further commended his tenure as Majority Leader in the State House of Assembly, where he was said to have demonstrated loyalty, political maturity and commitment to constituency development, qualities the group noted continue to define his current advisory role.
While congratulating him on his birthday, the group prayed for renewed strength and wisdom for the celebrant, describing him as an asset to Atisbo Local Government and Oyo State.
“Hon. Adejumobi Agbarapo represents the kind of leadership that grows from the people and remains connected and accountable to the grassroots.
“As he marks another year, we celebrate a life committed to service, impact and the steady development of Oke Ogun, and we reaffirm our support for his future political journey anytime he may call on the group,” the statement added.
