The George Aid Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Child Oral Health at the University College Hospital (UCH) and the Nigerian Association of Pediatric Dentistry, has provided dental health care to students of MaryHill Covenant School in Idi Ape, Ibadan, as part of the Children’s Day 2025 celebrations.
The program included oral health awareness sessions, where Dr. Omobola Olanloye educated the pupils on proper oral hygiene practices and demonstrated the correct method of mouthwashing.
The students’ teeth were also examined for cavities and other dental problems.
The headmistress of MaryHill Covenant School, Rev. Sister Margaret Okudaje, praised the George Aid Foundation and the school’s alumni for their support. Prof. Obafunke Denloye, head of the medical delegation, noted that the program aimed to address dental health issues among the pupils.
The event also honored the life and service of Chief Winifred Olusolape Ogunlusi, a former headmistress of the school, who expressed joy at seeing the school’s progress.
Each student received a toothbrush and toothpaste as a take-home gift, courtesy of the George Aid Foundation.
The head girl and head boy, Lewis Omoseeke and Olusoji Anthony, thanked the foundation for their generosity and support.
