The Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom and former Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, has expressed his condolences over the passing of elder statesman and former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Chief Michael Koleoso.
Chief Koleoso, who died on September 2, 2024, was described by Ilaka as a “venerable statesman, outstanding politician, public administrator, and the Babalaje of Saki” whose legacy in both the public and private sectors is indelible.
Ilaka praised Chief Koleoso’s record of service, including his time as a civil servant, Secretary to the Government of Oyo State, and Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy, as “remarkable achievements that will remain indelible for generations to come”.
He also paid tribute to their personal relationship, saying “I will miss a teacher… I will forever be grateful for the kind words and generosity of spirit he always afforded me.”
Ilaka extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emi-Abata family of Saki, friends, and comrades of Chief Koleoso.
