The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in 2023 elections in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin has lauded his party leaders and members in Oyo North Senatorial District for ensuring electoral victory of the party’s candidate, Hon. Ibrahim Shittu in the just concluded Saturday rerun polls in Saki West State Constituency.
This is contained in a statement issued by Folarin’s media aide, Com. YSO Olaniyi and made available to newsmen on Saturday evening.
Hon. Shittu of APC defeated his main opponent, Hon. Julius Femi of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the rerun elections conducted in unit 11, ward 6, Odo Odun, Kinikini and unit 19, ward 11, Ogbalanja, Saki West State constituency.
According to official results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC polled 90 votes while PDP polled 143 votes at unit 19, ward 11, Ogbalanja. At unit 11, ward 6, Odo Odun, Kinikini, APC polled 200 of the 390 vote cas.
