An Ibadan-based banker, Tunde Azeez, has revealed how he has been battling hard to resist attempt by his father to circumcise his three daughters.
Azeez said that trouble started when he had the first daughter, noting that his swiftness prevented his daughter from been made to undergo the barbaric act.
He said this was coming after several attempts at educating the old man about the ills of females genital mutilation, adding that he has had to be with the girls at all times as the old man is still adamant.
Azeez said it is unfortunate that the action has put a stop to the once-upon-a-time friendly relationship between him and his father as the matter has been reported to a Police Station.
