The Fashioned and Made for Excellence Foundation (FAME), a volunteer-driven social impact initiative, has trained more than 2000 students across Ibadan on the tenets of good leadership this week.
The 6 weeks long training focused on in-class delivery of the program would train 3000 students in over 40 underfunded public secondary schools across Ibadan.
Raphael Stephen, founder, and Director of FAME said the training will equip the students on the concept of leadership, values, identity, educate them on the SDGs and empower them with skills required for success in the 21st century.
The organization said it has trained over 100 volunteer facilitators, who began their 6 weeks in-class delivery of the program this month and which will be concluded in the month of June.
“Fame Illuminate program educates and helps Senior Secondary School Students understand who a leader is and activate the leaders in them through a variety of experiential activities.
“It is a reorientation program that introduces our beneficiaries to the core values of an authentic leader, who a Nigerian is and helps them get our values right, it challenges them to start making positive changes in their community’s even while still in Secondary School.”
“We are grateful to all our Fame Volunteers, Board Members, donors, and the Oyo State Ministry of Education for working with us to grow more value driven and authentic leaders for Africa,” FAME said in a statement made available to InsideOyo.com on Friday.
Raphael further explained that people can get involve in this great work FAME is doing by sharing this post, volunteering to be part of the team, sponsoring a disadvantaged Student to benefit from our Leadership programs in underfunded public schools, connecting FAME with interested corporate bodies, partnering with FAME and visiting the F.A.M.E website
